Artist statement

Framed Poetry is a visual dialogue between two artists (who happen to be married) — a merging of perspectives where one image completes the other.

AmaYah’s photographs — ethereal, contemplative, and spirit-driven — create an atmosphere of emotion and reverie that speak to form and sensation.

Louis’s photographs bring the tangible world into focus — spacious landscapes and balanced compositions revealing the quiet equilibrium between people and the earth that sustains them.

Each artist’s work shapes and responds to the other, revealing how their creative and personal partnership blurs the line between subject and storyteller.

The act of framing one within the other becomes a reflection of relationship itself — distinct voices in harmony, composing a single vision. Framed Poetry invites viewers into that shared space, where stillness meets story and collaboration becomes its own form of love language.
